SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) -- San Francisco Fleet Week is here and the week-long event's marquee attraction, the Air Show, will hit the skies over the Bay beginning Friday. After a government shutdown last year made it impossible for the U.S. Military to participate, the event's headliners, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, are set to come roaring back this weekend.

The famous fighter demonstration squadron will be back in their F/A-18E/F Super Hornets performing their trademark close formation routines overhead on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (you might also catch them practicing over SF on Thursday!).
In addition to the Blue Angels, this year's Air Show will also feature a United Airlines 777, the U.S. Marines Corps F-35B Demo, the U.S. Air Force Raptor Demo Team, and a Heritage Flight with F-22 and P-51 fighters.
